MAC is a pro range. They dont sell it to us mere make up artists at a discount if they didnt want us to use it!!
I use barry M, Taxi and GOSH too for proms, high fashion photo shoots/catwalk shows. Also have benefit, smashbox, sephora and stila - all high street brands. Just about to buy the entire paula dorf and susan posnick kit too, as there excellent. Use what you like, with make up as long as the pigments strong and the make up lasts then clients dont care what you use. The only time I wouldnt use high street products is for general beauty treatments such as waxing, facials or extensions. Clients like you using what they can purchase on the high street so they can keep the look going at home, and make up on the high street is excellent. Most top make up artists use a bit of everything so don't worry about sticking to any one brand or pricerange. Kate |
