Newbie wax training glasgow help?? - 04-11-08, 11:42 PM

Hi All I am new to the site.

I amLooking to see if anyone can help with a waxing course in glasgow?? I really want to go this month. I have found a couple but looking to see if anyone can give advise.

one's I have found are
london Therapists £245
ELB £180 + Vat
Caledonian Therapy Academy £260 + Vat but can get a£60 discount due to my job....

Has anyone used any of the above ?

Many thanks,
Catherine

Hi Catherine,

I did most of my courses at the Caledonian Therapy and found them to be great. I dont know that much personally about London therapists or Elb but have pasted below links to ratings for Caledonian, ELB and London therapists dont have one. Caledonain have a rating of 5* and 4.5* ELB are rated as 2*

Caledonian Therapy Academy - Glasgow City Centre in Glasgow - Beauty Schools in Glasgow - Touch Glasgow G1
Caledonian Therapy Academy - Glasgow West end in Glasgow - Beauty Schools in Glasgow - Touch Glasgow G3

ELB Treatment Specialists in Glasgow - Beauty Schools in Glasgow - Touch Glasgow G2

I paid up my beauty diploma its about £80 a month over 12 months but if you get a discount for waxing that might work out better for you.

Hope this helps.

Hi danny,

Carried out the 2 day training course, Was fab, girls were great. Had 4 case studies to do which I done on the sat night, had practical the following day and got my certificate 2 weeks ago.

I really like it but not getting as much clients as I would like to to get better and faster. Have managed to convert a couple of friends who are now regulars for me but that's about it. ( and they pay full price no freebies lol)

I took more training in tinting and perming lashes with CTA and they have been great just cost too much to complete the diploma

Leaflet dropping to try let people know I am here and they can book me!!

Where are you based and what's your background?

Cath

Hi Glad you liked it.
Sorry havent been on in a while not been well. I do mobile in Edinburgh.

Have you tried ??? Free ads, classifieds, FREE CLASSIFIED ADS, 450,000+ free classifieds in the UK or Gumtree.com: UK's No. 1 in classifieds - jobs, property, cars and more or the other free advert sites?
You also may want to try your local hairdressers that dont have a beauty part to it and leave your flyers there or community centres etc... Its hard work to get going but when you do it will be worth it.

I may bump into you if you go back to the academy i am enrolling on their hairdressing course thats starting next month.

Glad your feeling better now.

I have my ad on a few of the free sites. slowly getting there. I went into all the local shops and handed in leaflets to the assistants and up the high street handing them out, have leaflet dropped 325 houses in my estate. I am slowley getting there. more bookings coming every week.

I am wanting to go and do facials, lash extensions and makeup but the cost for now is too much.

Have you enroled in the course yet? Should be good. They are a great academy the girls are lovely. Not sure who would take the hair dressing one. Margaret has trained me in waxing and tinting/perming lashes/brows so far.
