Hi you guys i sprayed a client with tantrick 12% and she says it came out but not as dark as she wanted so have to do another coat.Is there certain people that just dont take that much tan in at the time or what could it be i gave her 2 lights coats that night. any ideas what it could be.

Did your client wash her tan off to early while it was still in the developing stage? Did you shake the bottle before hand? Did she hae any moisturiser on?
I have a client that used to use Tantrick and swears that the 8% came out darker on her than the 12% not quite sure how this is possible.

Everyone's skin hp levels are different so some need to leave the colour guide on for longer than others,
how long did she leave it before taking a shower ?, also ask what product she used in the shower as it may have been too harse,
how many mils of solution did you use for the tan ?
she could also not have prepared her skin fully and had a barrier of some kind on the skin causing it not to fully penetrate.

No she prepared well for it i was just thinking maybe she has type of skin that only takes so much in at a time. She got done on tuesday night and just showered this morning.

She should have developed the colour in that time scale,
when you applied the colour guide did it look really dark ?
have you seen the results for yourself ?
did the client go naked for the spray tan?
did you give the solution a really good shake before spraying her ?

she said it was lovely and naturalbut just not dark enough.yes she was naked for it and i did shake the bottle really well. i rarely use 12% as its to dark.but i'll see it for myself tonight

there could be many explanations for this from client expectations of a perceived colour outcome to possibly to little application (how much solution did you apply?) to the clients skin reaction to the product(has she had either a 12% before or maybe a 10% and expected a much darker outcome)

Sometimes peoples expectations really don't match the reality....or that she/he simply hasn't reacted.

I would recommend a further light application and see how that developes...if that does the trick for her when she next comes in for a spray tan try a good single application followed by a light misting over.

Some clients idea of dark is looking like Jordan or something. Maybe her expectations were a little off track xxx

There we go, we have pin pointed the problem, She was naked
when clients go naked for a spray tan, 99% of the time we get the feed back that they don't think they are dark enough, this is because they don't have any white bits to compare too,
all my clients that want a naked spray tan get this explained to them and i use a small love heart sticker (about the size of 2p) i place this on their hip or buttock or where ever they would prefer then i spray them, just before they are going to get dressed i remove the sticker and you are left with a white heart,
this shows the clients that there is a difference with the colour and it also looks very attractive, clients love it hth

i dont do spray tanning but what a cool idea
