Face & Neck Wax -
14-11-08, 06:13 PM
Good evening Geekies
Just a quick one looking for a bit of advice. I have a lady booked in tomorrow for a full face and neck wax. I'm confident in waxing every other body part imaginable however, it has been a while since I've been asked to wax a face/neck It's a lovely asian lady who is quite embarrased about the amount of dark hair on the areas concerned I have been shown to do it two ways; one way with warm strip wax and the other using hot wax. Just wanted other geeks opinions on their favourite or tried and tested methods of which one to use Thanks in advance xx |

I always apply a fine layer of oil first as it does protect the skin and clients report that it hurts less. However, I cleanse the oil off after waxing and I only apply a soothing gel and no lotions as I believe this causes break outs, You don't want to clog the skin. If you have a cold pack or compress to apply straight after, this will calm the area quickly and help avoid break outs.
Use non strip wax and apply in long thin strips. Make sure that you follow the direction of hair growth, especially on the 'sideburns' area as this can grow back stubbly if you distort the hair there. Good luck doll. xxx |
