I had to take my nose percing out a while ago as I had a recurring keloid.
Antway, tea tree oil is what i used to help the healing of that area. I used it neat to help with the healing of the keloid, but mayb diluting it abit so that it wont 'burn' your skin may be a wise idea. hth's x |

Hmm, I wonder why your employer is kicking up such a stink about your nose piercing? Sounds like they are making a mountain out of a mole hill to me!
Is there anything you could use to keep the piercing open that would be less conspicuous than a nose stud? For example, I've heard of plastic "retainers" for navel piercings that are sometimes used by pregnant women, and I wondered if there would be something similar, e.g. made out of clear plastic, that could be used to keep the nose piercing open but would not incur the wrath of the boss! |

Yes i can get a retainer for my nose but that isnt what i want, i think they look tacky and taking my nose stud in and out everyday was making it sore.....so if i cant wear it for work then i wont wear it full stop so i want the hole to heal quickly.
I work for a large cleaning company who provide a service for the armed forces, so its not just a rule for me but its rules for everyone, all over. The company has just recently been taken over by a larger one hence the new rules. iykwim. But thanks for you reply hun. x Quote:

i agree, i have this problem from a nose piercing and an eye brow piercing i had...wore them for a while...and stopped wearing them about 6 years ago...and you can still see the hole....had my lip done and i only wore it for a few months..and you cannot see the hole at all...the tissue/skin heals from the inside out....so you are going to be left with the hole on the outside, as the outside hole would have healed that way whilst wearing the piercing and the inside heals after you take it out..

Hopefully i wont be with the company much longer because i plan on giving it up to start in nails so i will just wait and then put my stud back in. Thanks for your help ladies |
