anyone know how far away you have to stand when spraying with the sun labs hvlp system ive used other ones before and you only have to be about 6 inches away and with this one it tends to be too near and drips so i have stood about 4 feet away not much better

Hi,
Who have you trained with? I am sun lab trained, I was taught usually 30cm - 12" away. But I do think you may need to adjust the nozzle on your spray gun. It should come out as a fine mist. Spray onto a piece of kitchen paper to see how the spray is coming out, and alter nozzle until just a fine spray appears. If that doesn't sort it out give Sun Lab a call you may have a faulty gun. Best of luck. Lotsa luv x x |

I tend to find those types of machines a terrible wast of solution so turn it right down and adjust the nozzle until you are happy with the volume and direction of the spray. Unfortunetly lots comes out and there is nothing to do apart from change to another type machine. The blue compressor from Sunlabs is Fantastic its quite heavy duty and comes with an brilliant airbrush which it sounds like you are used to.

I have the sun labs 5 system which is the basic starter. I had a problem with dripping and it was because the ring on the front where the spray comes out was too tight.
They tell you to make sure it is tight but I over tightened it. I have also been experimenting with the amount of spray and the higher that you have it the more your wasting and making a big mess because of the overspray. I was told that the volume knob shall we say sould be turned 2 1/2 turns and this should be your optimum but I change it per client depending on how their skin absobs the liquid. hth. Cath |
