I'm CIBTAC and CIDESCO qualified and this has cost me £13,000, during training we touched on make-up slightly but not enough in my opinion as i want to become a make-up artist also - more for tv work, models, films, bridal etc I don't really want to do prosthetics. I don't really want to pay a lot for another qualification but feel that i should be more qualified to advertise myself as being a make-up artist, what would you suggest that has good training or is it not needed as long as I'm good at make-up. Also so I don't make loads of posts - if I've got a beauty room in my house what kind of insurance do I need for facials, massages , man ,ped, wax. Thanks for your help!

I would recommend Julie Palmer (CHANGING FACES) she runs and intensive 1 day work shop (bridal and fashion make up) BABTAC CPD accredited and BABTAC recognised for their liability insurance.
Based in Devon check out www.changingfaces.net speak to Julie. Hope this helps Sophie |

Hi
During my training i went an did a three day course with a make up artist who offered a certificate at the end. It was more about getting to grips with make up looks than qualifications. I found it a great help and it gave me more confidence. I went home and started practising on anyone i could get my hands on!!! |
