Botox and Fillers? - 17-06-09, 08:04 PM

Hi

I was thinking of offering botox and lip fillers in my salon!

Was just wondering if anyone has them in their salon and how you popular they are and whos the best company to go with?

Lots of Love

botox - 17-06-09, 08:21 PM

Hi!

There is a place near us very discreet behind the dentist that does it. Lol! I think it depends in what area you are in and what prices you are offering.

I have mine done from my best mate who is mobile,She's a registered nurse. Are you thinking of training to do it yourself or hiring someone to come in say once a week and do a clinic?

That may be they way to go as you have to train, order each prescription per client, store it safely, needle disposal etc. insurance etc. It sounds like a lot of hassle from talking to her lol! However, I've met women who have said they would never dream of having botox, then a week later, they have asked me where I got mine done and asked if I could get a number!

Maybe start asking some of your clients what they think about you possibly offering it?

Hi there,

This is something that I would love to do myself but on making a few enquires (over a year ago now) I was told that you can only do this if you are a registered nurse. Are you nurse or has it changed now and you don't have to be to do this training?

Im not a registered nurse and I do want to do it myself, so thats maybe something ill have to look into in more depth... No-one does it around my area and I know people that drive up to 200 miles to get theirs done!! Let me know if you find anything else on it

absolutely, definitely need to be qualified nurse or doctor to perform these treatments. Botox if a prescription only medicine so it is illegal for anyone who is not medically qualified to administer. There is a lot of medical history/interpretation which needs to be assessed prior to these treatments - it is a medical procedure and should be treated as such! X

We have a doctor come in and do botox and fillers on a thurs afternoon. She approached us. I'm sure the authorities are about to outlaw nurses from doing it.

I'd rather a nurse inject me. Who do you see doing injections in hospitals? Its certainly not the doctors !!!!!

Botox originally became popular as a treatment offered by Nurses. Its only recently that doctors saw the potential as well.

You'd be surprised if you saw the injection techniques of some doctors (who've probably not injected someone for years) compared to nurse and wouldnt want to go near them !!!!
