Wax Geeks... how to make clippering less messy!? - 05-08-09, 09:53 AM

OK, I couldn't do my job without clippers but those little bits of hair, they get everywhere! And especially annoying is that they stick to the lovely smooth skin and ruin the look of your pubic masterpiece

So... how do you all deal with it?

I have had a small brainwave. Use a lint roller! Anyone alse tried it?

Have also toyed with the idea of a small portable handheld vacuum cleaner

Any other suggestions????

One of the most essential tools for anyone waxing boys! I currently do the following if client needs clippering:
  1. Put down couchroll
  2. get the client to lie down and clipper everything that is being waxed that needs doing on the the side of the body that is facing up.
  3. Brush them down and get them to stand up
  4. Throw out couchroll with hairs, then put down more roll
  5. Clipper other side of body if needed
  6. Again, brush down, stand up, throw out and clean roll
If you try to clipper once you've started waxing I've found they get soo many more hairs stuck to them.

As for cleaning up ... I use a lint roller over the towels, then I have a dry mop that has static tissue / towels on that I whizz around the floor to pick up hairs on the floor and then wipe down my heaters and area around.

Sounds like a lot of extra work, but it really is only a few minutes.

Rather than getting them to stand up after being clippered just put extra couch roll down.
Have your long roll down the couch and then put a couple of squares on top. When you've clippered just get them to inch their bum up a bit and get rid of the top couch roll
