Hello,
Im starting a mobile business but not sure what to do to keep my mitts and towels warm? I use mitts in my facials to remove masks and etc... but i dont want to carry around a cabbi towel warmer. I bought this hot towel warmer bag, but it doesnt work. Ive been told to keep them in a bowl of warm water but then it will get cold really quickly wont it? Then i will have to leave my client all the time to get new warm water.... Im not sure what i should do... Has anyone got any recommendations please?? Thank you Sarah xxx |

lol
Ive put mine in the microwave loads of times, when at work, the cabbi hasnt heated them up enough. For mobile i cant carry around a cabbi and i dont want to be using somebodys microwave in their own. I need mitts for the facials, in Elemis you use mitts to remove the exfoilator, mask and cleanse the feet etc... Its also nice to put a small warm towel on the back after doing a back massage as it really relaxes the muscles. I think the bowl idea is good... Though i tried that and the water got cold really quickly.. Though i could probs just leave the client for a minute while i get new warm water or something. Thanks for your help xxx |

Hi im mobile I wet the mits roll them up in pairs wrap them in cling before going to the client. I have a thermal bag for them to go in, when i get to the clients hse I just heat them for two mins in there microwave and pop them in the thermal bag, it keeps them hot for the length of the facial.
I dont think clients mind, they know your going to have to use there water electric etc if there having treatments at home. I have never had a complaint. |

Hi guys, someone mentioned in a previous post that using a metal bowl retained the heat far longer then a plastic bowl. I've bought a really good sized bowl from that famous swedish shop (kitchen dept), its brushed metal on the outside and smooth & very shiney on the inside of the bowl, looks really expensive and sleek, costs around £8. i think. Its the right size for getting hands in and wringing mitts out and retains heat really well.
The bowl is a good size for putting clients hands in and washing off hand masks. Theres a much bigger one available that you could use to soak feet in if you didnt want to use a foot spa, around £10. looks really sleek. Im going to post a question re:keeping wax hot when travelling between mobile clients, would appreciate any imput. HTH xxxxxxx |
