Ladies, listen up. Just in case you'd managed to find enough time to worry about the lines around your eyes, your sagging neck/boobs/bum, the excess fat around, well, everywhere and you were wondering what on earth you could worry about next to fill those spare few minutes a day...fear not! I have the answer. Take a look at your hands. Apparently, your hands are your newest enemy in the age stakes.

Not content with pulling us into clinics to have injections in our faces, tummy tucks, face lifts, and all manner of treatments designed to make us look younger, cosmetic surgeons are now shouting about the dreaded "Zombie Hands". And yes, that's what they're actually calling them.

It's not surprising really. Now that we're all tight-faced, toned-tummied and nicely-necked, it's no wonder our hands look a bit out of place! Women are being told that if they want to battle collagen and elastin breakdown, thinning of the skin and loss of volume in their hands they could go to some pretty extreme measures.

Topical creams are suggested but, according to the experts, the only way to really fight the "zombie hand" is through lasers or fillers or sclerotherapy (injecting veins) or, oh lord, fat transfers.

If I've struck the fear of the zombie hand into you then sunscreen, moisturiser, mild soap and rubber gloves should help stave off the worst of the zombification. Of course, it's likely that you haven't even thought of how your hands age you in which case - as you were.

Until then...geek on!

The Ed.
