Holy historical drama! Come October you will be able to look and smell just like Lady Mary. Just what you always wanted no?
The Downton Abbey camp have announced that they will be launching an official 10-line range in October that will include lip glosses, lip balms, body lotions, soaps and candles. The launch will coincide with the fourth season premier of the popular TV series.
With Edwardian-style packaging and quotes from the series included on the boxes ("Now stop talking and kiss me before I get cross" adorns the lip gloss) the series producers have been very protective of their brand making sure they get this right.
"Every single product's design comes to me for approval," explains Gareth Neame, one of the show's producers. "We don't want to bastardise the brand."
The show hope to follow the cosmetics line with a clothes line and a furniture line.
