Can anyone please tell me if a license is required when opening a Beauty Salon in the UK, and if so how this is applied for and what it involves? Thank u

It depends on the local council. Some have requirements, others don't. So you need to contact your council.
They may well have the requirements on their website my local council just require licensing for electrolysis and piercing of the treatments Im qualified in.I now do neither of these things so don't have to worry,but its different in different areas some require licensing for massage.

I paid £200 for my massage license and sent everythung off then 8 months later they say it was never issued and paperwork lost ! So they threatened me to stop working or pay £2,500 fine and £25 per day ..and to take away my price lists and take everything off my website !
