So, i dyed my hair demi permanent black after having it chocolate brown and and an ombre before. SOO I wanna go back to ombre/balayage or just lighter overall. Should I be putting on a hair colour remover to take out the black colour remaining because it has faded quite a bit and its partially brown but i wanna go lighter. I completely understand that you cant go lighter in one go but if i used a colour remover would that be recommeneded. I posted a picture of what my colour is now which is the brownish black and the colour id like to achieve but i want the blonde all throughout my hair.

Are you a qualified hairdresser? If so, you need to use standard terminology, ICC levels etc. Including your current base.
Chocolate brown and blonde aren't hairdressing terms we generally use on here as they mean different things to different people.

In that case, I can only recommend you find a good colourist because what you want to achieve from your current hair state involves quite a complex process.
