Says it all really..can i have blonde hair without bleaching.....and i mean quite a bright blond i.e my hair is same colour as fearne cotton.

any help appreciated. thanks!

Why don't you want to use bleach? High lift tints contain lighteners (bleach) and need a high volume of peroxide 12% whereas your hairdresser could get the same level of lightness, using bleach and 6% peroxide or even 3%.

If you've already tinted your hair, you will have to bleach to lift the colour.

The closest you'll get is using INOA ultra blond UB 12 with 40 vol.

This thread is in Consumer Queries, as the thread starter is not a Hair Pro.
Please bear this in mind when answering, as she should not have access or the training to use pro products.

I am sure advice on how modern day hair bleach works, would be helpful and also how to find a good salon specialising in colour.

Bleaching is now more gentle than achieving a lighter colour without bleach in the right hands. I'm assuming you have coloured your hair before? If so then your only solution is bleach. X

Tomme I have coloured hair before yes. My hairdresser ended up using INOA and have ditched the bleach. She says the tint will be much better for my hair than bleach. I am aware it contains no ammonia therefore it is better than bleach? The colour came up amazing, like I had had my hair bleached!

Thanks for replies.
