I am opening a salon and have a chair that needs filled. I prefer that my products be used because they are unique and are one of the marketing stratagies to promote the salon. Would it be ideal to charge the renter a flat reasonable fee and than also charge them per chemical service? I am not worried about shampoos and styling products that would be covered in the flat rate. I am not interested in putting them on a commision basis because than you get into the gray area of an employee. My main concern is if the renter is doing a ton of chemical services than it may not cover the cost of all the products.

Chair renters are self employed, so unless you are lucky enough to find one who likes the same brand as you then you cant stipulate that they must buy all their stock from you
