Hi everyone! I'm new to this.....
I was hoping to get some advice.
I'm a qualified Beauty Therapist, I qualified in 1991 and worked self employed in 2 Salons and 2 Health clubs over those years. I have a little bit of management experience.
I haven't worked for 10 years in the industry (I am a stay at home Mum) but always continued for friends and family.
In my efforts to return to work and to fit in with current commitments as a Mum I am attending part time a Foundation Degree in Salon management. The reason for this was to fully understand the role of the manager because in past jobs I hadn't the training.
I hope to go back to work when my youngest daughter starts school in 1.5 years time.
Now for the advice part-At last! :lol:
I'm not sure if I need to do any top up training? I don't know if my qualifications are still valid, I have City and Guilds and International Health and Beauty Certificates. Where would I go for training? Or should I do some work experience instead?
Anyone have any advice?
