I'm not adding anymore to my vinylux collection and getting xlac for those that request polish instead. I have removed luxury manicures and pedicures from my list as the products were just gathering dust on my shelfs. I did do a big marketing push for luxury pedicures last summer but not one taker, my ladies just had gel or file & polish on toes.

I hate waiting on polish drying, it's like watching paint dry. I only ever used it on toes, xlac is a one step polish that cures under a lamp and can be removed at home. No more waiting for me!

I looked at replacing my Vinylux earlier this year. Getting an opening order with OPI was like pulling teeth and I really couldn't justify the cost so I bought a few more vinylux and carry on.

We specialise in the natural nail (no extensions at all) so I think we attract a lot of regular manicure clients.

I still have some as some people like it on toes. Or children have it. I don't really go buying new colours anymore though but I couldn't remove it altogether x

Please tell me more about xlac!
When you say one step, does it need a base & top coat? Does it cure under led? How does the client remove, is it by soaking?

Sorry for all the questions!

That sounds very interesting. Do you know whether either product contains any acrylate based chemicals as I'd love to wear something that's a bit longer lasting?
I couldn't say for sure, but Louelle Belle are the distributors , so you could perhaps ask there

I've recently stopped advertising usual Polish as it's just not getting booked enough to warrant the costs of buying new seasonal colours.

I used to love selecting new colours for my kit, but without the bookings to cover costs it's big business loss, when you calculate x4 seasons of new colours per year, maybe the odd few more and then barely no one booking it.

This year I've reduced my kit to basics like black, white, gold and a few other popular colours for those who like a mini manicure after a removal of gels, and in case of any other request though other than that it's just too much of an expense to be sitting around doing nothing.

Gel Polish is extremely popular, through client feedback because its dry straight away, it's very shiny, does not need to be thought about for a long while as there's 2 weeks wear in it.

I added a small selection of toxin free nail Polish for since that's been asked for a fair bit, especially by mum's to be, if more call comes in for that will add more colours.

Almost all clients who used to have a regular mani are now gel mani clients, aside from one who alternates between the two based on removal needs.

I'm interested in that toxin free nail polish. What do you use?

It's called Little Ondine - hope that linking back to products is allowed, if it's not, sorry in advance.

There are some special rules for using this such as cleanse the natural nail plate before application, no use of water for at the very least an hour though somewhere else I read two, I always advise two so that the cure is perfect.

As advised by Little Ondine, you definitely have to have your precision polish game on with this as anything on the skin or cuticles is going to peel the whole thing away in no time, so its really great for pro's since we've got this skill down to a T (99.9% of the time anyway :D).

Got to cap free edges too, as much as humanly possible.

Dries much faster than regular polish, with beautiful shine - base and topcoat is in one.

I was really impressed by the wearability of this product being as it is water based, the colours are really beautiful - some of them really luxurious though I've only added 11 bottles to collection for now.

Another great thing about this polish is that you can just peel it off when you're done with it, meaning no acetone based polish removers needed, this is really enjoyed by clients so far as it is not only easy, but another chemical off the menu.

Really nice stuff, mine lasted an entire week on first trial wear - sanding furniture, and wallpapering / painting included - impressive stuff! <--- just want to add an edit here in the name of being realistic, whilst my trial was invincible through hard work, this may not be the case for all.
