purple pain

I dyed my hair an awesome purple a few days ago and it looked great. I did have some old highlights that had been covered up several times, professionally, with other colors, reds and purples. A couple days after I did my hair I noticed that the tips of my hair are turning a bluish green. I tried to cover them today with more of the same dye, no good 
I'm assuming that it has something to do with the old highlights working against me and would love some tips on how to fix this. I used BTZ Poppin Purple, permanent creme with a 10 developer, if that helps. I also have the Color Shot conditioner to give the color a boost once a week. Please don't judge the styling of my hair today, I'm naturally wavy and I just let it air dry. The first you can see some of the discoloration, the second is more of the purple I was going for.
