Wasn't sure where to post this so I put it in consumer.

Over the years I've over plucked my eyebrows and also I've got a scar on one side right where my eyebrow should taper at the end but due to this no hair grows there.

So my eyebrows are pretty thin and I've been desperate to get something done like reshaping or something but hardly any hairs grow back now :(

I know its partly my own fault for tweezing too much however I can't really help the scar being there.

Can anyone think of any treatments that may help? Can you get anything to stimulate hair growth there?

sorry if this seems silly, just bored of horrible eyebrows :(

Hi Nicola

The salon where I go for threading reccomend rubbing castor oil on them to stimulate growth its not something I have tried myself so I cant comment but a girl on my course at college also does it and she said it works.

Thanks Cassi, it's worth a try anyway. Hopefully it will work :)

I too suffer with overplucked eyebrows - ever since my schooldays. It was fashionable to have a very thin eyebrow shape way back then........ last year however, my eyebrows become almost non existant - when the hair fell out no new hairs took their place!

So, since the beginning of this year, I have been religiously massaging neat castor oil to my eyebrows twice a day (evening & morning) and am pleased to say that it is working, but very very slowly.

There has been improvement - eyebrow hairs are still very sparse and patchy but each week now I do see that there is some improvement. I shall keep up with this regime now as I have read on the internet that once you stop using the castor oil hair growth stops - and I really do need every single hair!

Hope the above helps.

I would suggest these options:-

1. Castor Oil

2. Billion Dollar Brows or Talika - Products that stimulate hair growth

3. Permanent Make Up and then you don't have to worry about them.

Hi i am a qualified beauty specialist and do alot of eyebrow trims! sometimes when you over pluck eyebrows the hair growth of some hairs stop and you get patches, maybe try regular eyebrow tints? or look into semi-permanant or permanant eyebrow makeup like advanced or cosmetic makeup? eyebrow tattooing may help cover the uneven eyebrows also.

Agree with kim, Talika for brows does work as does their eyelash growth stimulator. Christian eyebrow pencils give a really soft and natural effect, you may find it at the sept. show or try QVC (may get fingers slapped for that!). X

Thank you for those suggestions above.

I'll try the stimulators first as i'm not sure about the permanent makeup side of things.

great help xx

I'd be inclined to go down the permanent make up route. Have a word with Kim if you want more info, she trained with Finishing Touches and is an absolute genius at semi permanent make-up, and especially eyebrows. She has done brows for a number of people on here.

Hi
You may have sorted out your brows by now, but if not, I am offering very reasonably priced permanent make up treatments for brows as I'm building my port folio.

If you'd like more information please PM me.
