Hi I have been in the industry nearly a year so not long i know - ive also recently added more treatments, but in the year ive had no more than 15 appointments, im not doing this part time, I offer evenings & weekends, my prices are fair not to cheap it looks alarming but not over anyone else im just average with all others around, I am on yell & all other listing sites, I have a website, facebook page, twitter & instagram, i use a different facebook to advertise my appointments so clients arent bored by pictures of my kids, I advertise on local facebook selling sites, I put a post on shpock, ive handed leflets out, ive attended events, ive told people in the playground, ive ran special offers, ive ran competitions, ive offered re booking discount (on the clients i have had) I honestly think ive tried everything (ive tried everything i can think of) but hoping its something obvious im missing as then i can correct it. Ive done models for free to get pictures my family either refuse to have anything done at all, will only have it for free & has to be at there beck & call or would rather use someone else so Im not gaining recommendations that way either.

Thanks in advance for any advice anyone has

Abi xx

The mobile market is flooded...and unfortunately, some resort to price slashing, which is degrading the profession.
This breeds a lack of respect from the public, who end up judging us on price over quality.
I would seek employment, rather than going it alone.

I have a summer house in my garden and work from there i have a separate entrance ect ect i do this as I can fit it around school runs tea time ect, i was working in a salon one day a week going up to two days but they shut with no notice so bit put off by the whole experience and want to make it alone if at all possible - my hubby is also self employed so i need to try and make a wage for when he is not , i dont want to be a millionaire as much as that would be nice but just enough to cover bills, food shop and a little pocket money even £100 a week atm would be nice [emoji4]
