British Hairdresser of the Year, Angelo Seminara, styled five celebrities and tried out a crazy new look himself to help launch a fundraising campaign for CLIC Sargent, the UKs leading cancer charity for children and young people with cancer.
The Wig Wednesday campaign encourages schools, businesses and groups of friends to wear a wig for the day and make a donation to CLIC Sargent on Wednesday 22 May.
Angelo, who is recognised worldwide for his work at fashion shows and in the press, styled the celebrities at an exclusive shoot, and found time to pose for his own makeover shot too.
It is hoped that millions of people across the UK will take part in Wig Wednesday and raise money for CLIC Sargent. Every pound raised will help CLIC Sargent offer vital emotional, practical and financial support to young cancer patients and their families.
Commenting on the launch of the campaign, Angelo Seminara said: I had a great time with Wig Wednesday. It was a lot of fun picking out and styling the different wigs for the celebs and I couldnt resist having my own shot done too. To be doing it all in aid of the UKs leading cancer charity for children and young people was even better. Hopefully lots of people will get involved with Wig Wednesday and it can raise a lot of money for CLIC Sargent.
CLIC Sargents National Events Manager, Anna Penwarden said: Wig Wednesday is a great opportunity for businesses, communities, universities and schools to have fun whilst raising money for charity. Whether youre going it alone or taking part with friends, family or colleagues, by simply changing your hair for a day you can help CLIC Sargent change lives for children and young people with cancer.
CLIC Sargent will provide all the help, advice and materials people need to make their event a success, from event guides and posters to banners to collection tins To find out more call 0845 1212 492 email [email protected] or visit Wig Wednesday | CLIC Sargent
Until then...geek on!
