I had abrain wave at 1am the other morning and am about to put it into practice on monday...here goes...

I am trying to build business and was trying to think of a place where I can effectively target women, a large group in one go...then it came to me..

WEIGHTWATCHERS, SLIMMING WORLD ETC!!!! I am ringing the person who manages our local meeting this week to see if I can have a few minutes at the end of her meeting to sell my services, offering a 10% discount on the first treatment. I used to have a few clients in the salon where I worked before who would treat themselves when they hit certain targets and since these ladies are trying to acheieve something physical then surely they are going to be sold on spray tans and EBS?!!!

I will let you know how it goes, Better than leaflet dropping though, at least you are targeting the right people rather than hit and miss.

Fabulous idea!

I read somewhere, possibly on this site, about an idea to recruit someone with lots of people contact, and do her nails at no charge for 'advertising' for you. Think bank teller, cashier, casino dealer, you get the idea....do her nails wild and vibrant so they are noticed, people will ask about them, trust me.

Good luck!

where about in south wales are as i really need to get my nails done as they have been ruined by a student and if you are close enough to the bridge i could come over and get them done when you are quiet. i hate getting them done a the salon because i am always interrupted with phone calls and queries

I have trained as a nail tech with Creative and I have also done a waxing course, I have been working for myself for 2 years now, I work mobile and I also rent a table space in a local hairdressing salon, but I seem to be quiet, some days I could earn £140 and other days I earn nothing, does anybody have any ideas on how to attract more clients and I am also interested in doing more training preferably nvq level 2 in beauty does anybody know of any part time courses so I can offer a wider variety of treatments, I live in south west wales.
I'd be grateful if you could share some ideas with me
