In a world of my own....
Hi geeks
I'm having a slight problem with the new gun from the maximist 5008.....i have this new gun since early in the year.....I did my regular weekly clean today.....took gun apart including needle...washed through and put back together...
My husband just sprayed me and the solution was coming out way to heavy....he had the dial down to 1 and still spray was very 'wet' ...I've done something wrong but not sure what? I have the troubleshooting details for the older gun but not for this one which is totally different.....
Does anyone know why?
Would appreciate advice as soon as possible please geeks as tanning clients tomorrow
Many thanks
Jan

If you have taken it fully appart then it is probably something reallt simple like the front retaining ring not being screwed on as tight now as what it was before you took it appart and washed it. It has been found that the tighter the front ring is done up the higher the number needed on the dial so if you had it on 1 and that was still too much solution then I would say you need to tighten the front ring.

Here are some threads with lots of info on the Helia gun and how best to set it etc...

The last page of the second link should explain what I mean about the retaining ring.

Thanks so much Baggybear....really appreciate you getting back to me so quickly ..I've read the links and going to take gun apart.....i had a feeling it was something to do with putting gun back together incorrectly....never knew about tightening the front ring makes a difference.....you learn something new every day! Thanks again..

Guess what.....just checked and the retaining ring was loose! simple little thing.....
