 Hi all
really need some help here, I am doing ( acrylic) learn at home course and have just started to prepare nails. On the video it tells you to file the nails to take away the shine ( Cannot do this it makes me cringe all the scratching and scraping on the nail plate goes through me, turns my stomach in a knot:Scared: ) However after calming my self down and reading the manual it says using a good primer should be enough and there is no need to rough the nail up as this could damage the nail plate. Which is it ? please tell me the latter is right, otherwise what am i going to do ( :Scared: can you just imagine the picture, my first client, and me cringing and gaging whilst I,m roughing her nail plate up:Scared: )
Hope to here sooooooon

You dont have to "rough up" the nail plate just slightly take the shine away, using a white block gently and only using it in the direction of the nail growth will be sufficient!!!!

You shouldnt get any scraping noises
