Hi all, I wonder if you can help. I purchased a hot towel steamer kit today and it says fill with distilled or purified water, can they be filled with normal tap water

I have the same steamer and it says in the instructions that the warranty isn't valid if you use normal water. I couldn't get distilled water at the time so got deionised water as they are similar in that they have both had ionic impurities removed.

I had the same one for ages and I used tap water.
I think I've used it 18m- 2yrs with tap and it still works fine now but I just don't want it anymore.
It served me well but I have a hit towel cabby now. No more burnt fingers.

Hi thank you I was not sure what would happen if I put just tap water in I'm guessing its to do with lime build up. Thank you
