Insurance for home salon?

Hi I have recently started working from home. I offer Eyelash Extensions, brow threading and makeup for special ocassions. Is it mandatory to have an insurance. I don't know, please help ...!!

I'm not sure if it's mandatory or not, but if you choose not to have insurance then do make sure you've got a good few grand (at least) stashed away for if someone sues you.
