I have been looking into Hairdressing courses in my local area, but i need to do the course part time as i have 2 small children. I have found a part time course 2 nights a week at kidderminster college, but the qualification is a VTCT qualification and not an NVQ, they previously did the NVQ qualification but have now changed them to this VTCT.
IS this qualification the same as an NVQ and will i be able to get a job with this qualification. i have noticed that alot of courses have now got this VTCT qualification.
If anyone has any advice i would very much appreciate it.
Many thanks

A very confused wannabe Hairdresser

How long does this course take?

Hi, the course takes 2 years and you get level 1 and level 2 vtct hairdressing. i have spoken to the college and they said that this qualification is the same as an NVQ. I was just a little confused as i havent heard of it before.
