Hi Girls,
I wonder if I could just pick your brains :) I own an organic skincare company (was a beautician in a previous life!) - don't worry I am not here to sell! We are just developing a salon exclusive range, and I just wondered if you lovely ladies could tell me your likes and dislikes about suppliers? Pet hates, or things you love? i.e minimum orders, reps, training, products? etc etc...... Many thanks in advance :) x

Dislikes:
*Pressure sales or sneaky sales (we see a lot on here)
*Not receiving stock on time
*Minimum orders (no two businesses are the same)
* Lack of contact ie only email contact
*reps are lovely If they are honest!

Likes:
*Training
*Good customer service
* Good quality brand (does what it's meant to do)
* professional brand only (not sold in tk maxx!)
*Competitive stock price so our return is higher

Love:
Quick shipping
Pro only brands
Products that work

Dislike:
Being bombarded with emails

I'd agree with above.

I'd also add:

Likes :
- Good training that allows you to learn the brand and product inside out. If this can't be face to face training, then detailed manuals or online training is really helpful.
- Access to high quality advertising, such as posters, treatment pictures etc.

Dislikes:
- One thing that has irritated me about the makeup brand that I use and retail is that they change products without warning so that any stock you hold is then the old version. I appreciate that brands need to constantly be improving, but it would be nice if they could give warning so you don't stock up on a product that will become obsolete.

Understanding the likes and dislikes in order to help better is appreciated by the Salon Geek community, but not in such a way that thread posting is considered to be conducting market research for personal gain as this is against forum rules.
Therefore, I have closed this thread to further replies.
