Hi all please help me I got my eyebrows done this week and hate them my boyfriend who doesn't notice anything I have done told me I look like a cartoon character! I've been crying for 3 days straight! I contacted a company after they were reccomended to me by a few clients. But for blush brows ( I believe it's called). I specifically said I want natural hair strokes and sent her pictures of what I wanted! (picture also attached) She said they could do that on me and I carried on excited but nervous which I told her I was. When I got there she was training someone and I knew this which was fine... I'm a trainer in hairdressing and was put at ease by the fact they train people to do this. So she drew the shape a lovely full brow that suited my face and totally natural. What I got was this............ My eyebrows before and after she done them. I asked why they flicked up and why they were so thin she said they would need to heal then she could make them thicker and use a thicker needle!! Wtf it just looks like ink blobs to me... It's uneven... I can't see hair strokes and it's nothing like what I asked for... What do I do guys is there any cream I can put on my skin to break the pigment?? Can I still get what I wanted originally?

I don't think they are that bad , but I don't do this treatment so let's wait for someone who is qualified in this field to make comments.
I was told it usually takes few days then looks better once it's healed.

Edit : just followed a thread on this and I take back what I said I think you should have seen hot like strokes.
I really hope they can fix this for you :(

I don't do spmu or microblading, but I work in a salon where we have a lady who is fantastic at doing semi-perm brows. We also have a woman who does laser tattoo removal.

I've seen a lot of bad brow work come through the doors. A lot of the time they team up. They have some laser to lighten the work before correction takes place.

Sorry to hear you're so upset about your brows, big hugs. They will lighten up though.

I would not go back to that salon. If you're unhappy with them now, how would you feel if they made them worse? And if you don't like their work now, you probably won't like it the second time either. I don't want to upset you further more so will not comment on their work.

I'd spend this time to really research someone who is really good at doing brows. You need to see lots of pictures of their work, read reviews. Every brow artist does a slightly different shape, so you need to pick someone whose work you really like.

Then you need to get in contact with them, explain what's happened. They might want you to have some laser to lighten brows up first. But you need to wait for brows to heal first before you can do anything.

I haven't updated my location. I'm in Edinburgh now. I'm going to add a link to show how brows can look. A lot of these are taken straight after so are dark, they do lighten up. She's got healed pictures too. You need to find someone with lots of photos and positive reviews:

Good luck. It can be rectified, just takes time xx

Aww youre a sweetie! Thanks for the detailed message .... I will deffo be looking at the link... Thankyou! They had a lot of work on their page... Which was nice
..... Making me question if it's actually theirs x

S&G beauty can you tell me do they use an electric tool or a hand tool at your salon.? Xxx

I don't do microblading, but they don't look great [emoji20]. The strokes look quite thick and not really like hair strokes at all. There is a salon near me who specialise in that, they are brilliant! I would give you the link but I'm not sure how [emoji85]My mum got her eyebrows done there and they look amazing. Luckily, they will fade, and you can go somewhere else and get them rectified. In terms of the tools they use, I was under the impression for microblading hair strokes, it is a hand tool they use, like a wee blade. Xx

Are you asking this because you prefer/think one is better than the other? xx

I'm not experienced in microblading, but I have had my eyebrows done. I was told they would look different everyday & be fully healed in 4 weeks.

Maybe give it a couple of weeks as they will settle & you can reassess how they look & where to go from there.

Mine seriously looked different everyday, sometimes they looked dark almost black, sometimes they looked grey. Sometimes they looked powdered even though they were hairstroke. For the first week, my brother called me Groucho Marx I was so worried they were too dark, but, they lightened & looked good after 4 weeks.

Hope they settle for you. Looking at the photo, they don't look bad. But I can't see them close up.

Heya they need a slight shape correction which can be done on top up, the strokes will lighten and go slightly finer , you do need to wait the 4 weeks until they are fully healed as your second picture there doesn't look like much is left in the skin they can also reappear within the 4 weeks if you really hate them don't follow the aftercare as in get them wet as they will scab too quick and take the pigment with them making them lighter and easier to adjust the strokes do not pick the brows as this can cause scabbing ;( hope this helps X

I've been told conflicting things..... The girl used an electric tool on me and I was told by another person to get what I originally wanted it needs to be a hand tool..... Just trying to establish facts xxx

So are you saying I might be best to actually get them wet so that they fade more? If you see the close up pic I attached do the strokes look correct to you.... They just look like a mess to me but Im not a spma

I've shown the spmu tech at work.

The original picture of the work you wanted has been done by someone super skilled and really good at brows. A lot of techs won't be able to produce work to that standard.

The person you went to is not capable of producing the work you want and it would be unwise to go back.

You need to find a tech whose work you like. Don't obsess about what tool they use to produce it. There are techs out there producing amazing work with machine and can do hairstrokes, other techs prefer microblading, I've seen gorgeous work where the tech starts with machine to do a powdered brow then finishes with microblading.

Microblading has been around a long time, but it's suddenly become "fashionable." There's this whole hype it's better than machine, don't fall for it.

Personally, I would travel to wherever the picture of the brows you like are. It might be far away, but it's your face and it'll be worth it.

Thanks so much
Yeah I've made that decision....... As you said it's your face!
This is what I sent....
Honestly? I really don't like them. "The shape is awful and the strokes nothing like what I asked for. My boyfriend even likened me to a cartoon character. Sorry but I'd rather be totally honest"

They replied.....

"Ok, let them heal & fade. Get in touch next week and come and see us so we can have a look and discuss options"

"Give us a date for next week no problem. X"

Needless to say I will not be going back!... But what next, do I put it down to a bad experience!? C

Phew, I'm glad you're not going back.

Personally I'd just chalk it down to bad experience. They will look a lot better once they've healed. We do a lot of correction work, I've seen much worse coming through the door.

I don't think people appreciate how super skilled brows are. It's like tattooing, tattooists have different styles. I'm into my tattoos. I've seen an artists work I love. It's a 2 year waiting list!!! But I'm going to wait. I'm not going to show another tattoo artist her work and expect the same result.

It's the same with brows, each tech will have their own style. The good ones have a long waiting list, (sometimes a year) and people travel for them.

You can't take a picture of one techs work, show it to another and expect the same result. You love a particular artists work, you need to go to them.

I would get in touch with them on Monday. As your brows are still healing now is a good time to encourage the ink to come out, they might have some advice for you there.

Their work is very good, so don't be alarmed if it's a long waiting list. But wait, don't make the situation worse!

Good luck hun xx

Did she use a hand tool ? Or a machine you would of heard the machine method, if you don't follow after care the pigment will come out a lot quicker but not so much with the machine as it goes slightly deeper ;( is she training ? I've just trained in machine method and the stokes look quite thick like machine, are her photos her photos ?
