may have been asked before but if I do a design in acrylic on top of gel polish can I used gel top coat? What do people tend to use when doing nail art on top of gel polish?

I use gel polish to do nail art, using a dotting tool or small brush, over 2ndcolour coat, cure then top coat

Can you recommend a training course in nail art or is it just practice?

I use all kinds of medium for nail art (including acrylic paint). As soon as it is dry you can top coat over it. If I'm working on top of acrylic I use an acrylic top coat and if I'm working on top of gel polish I use a gel polish top coat. You just have to make sure it's dry before you top coat
