So one of my clients just messaged me saying she has pigmentation on her lip that she thinks is from the waxing. I use a gentle hard wax on face only. I've advised her not to continue waxing it...but could it really be from the wax? Over exfoliation of the skin from the wax resulting in pigment coming up?

Has she been out in the sun? How old is she? X

Upper lip can have sun damage or hormonal pigmentation. When it is waxed there's a little exfoliation so the pigmentation can appear more pronounced/ is noticed for the first time. You'd have had to done her some serious damage to cause pigmentation with waxing and it would have been immediately apparent!
