Hi All,

Can anybody recommend a good portable beauty couch which is sturdy? I've had a look on a few websites but their aren't many reviews and the last thing I want is for it to be creaky, uncomfortable and unsteady. I don't mind if it's slightly heavier so long as it's comfortable. Also would you recommend wooden legs over aluminium? 3 part or 2 part beauty couch?

Thank you in advance,
X

Hi, this website helped me with making my choice:
http://www.portable-massage-tables.co.uk

I do brows and eyelashes so I needed a 3part one so the client could sit up for brows and lie straight down for the eyelashes so depends how you need to position the client in regard to whether you get a 2 or 3 part.
I chose aluminium over wood because it's lighter although for some, wood is deemed more attractive.

Amazon is a good place to start if you're looking for reviews and decent prices

This is the one I got
https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B006073VNU/ref=pe_385721_148672051_TE_3p_dp_1

My clients have commented that's it's really comfortable and they usually fall asleep (but that may be more to do with them lying down for over an hour, lol)
One of the reviewers said it could hold a 15stone rugby player so it's very sturdy also!

Hi Nicole, thank you so much for the detailed response lovely.

You know, I never even considered the 3 part would be for facial/eye treatments - which I'll need it for both. I just saw in previous threads some preferred the 2 parts to the 3 and I wondered if it was due to balance? Sturdiness?

Thanks for the link to the portable massage tables website and to the one you purchased on Amazon. It has some really good reviews! :). That's been my biggest worry - not holding a larger clients weight. As I'm new to the world of beauty, the majority of my clients are new and I'd hate to question if it would hold their weight!
