Probably a really stupid question but I am awful at maths! I have always worked in other people’s salons so have never had to worry about how much to charge!

But now I am thinking of going self employed and can’t seem to understand how to work out the prices and how much everything costs!

Can someone help???

It’s really hard I struggled. The first thing is to never underprice yourself. Someone self employed is expected to be less than a salon as there are fewer overheads, but if a client is willing to pay £40 for your service in a salon why should they not pay it when self employed? The best thing to do is call your suppliers as they will be able to tell you the cost per treatment. Then go from there, factoring in your time, overheads and how much profit you’d like to make. Good luck x
