I have a small boutique hair salon that conducts some beauty services like nails and eyes in Bognor Regis (town centre) West Sussex.

We are looking for 1 - 2 part/full time stylists (employed, NOT self employed).

We have been advertising since early August on indeed, adzuma, friday ads, freeindex, job centre plus, our local paper for 4 weeks, fb, our window, asking stylists, asking our clients etc.

We are finding it so hard to get people to apply and when they do they don't send back their application forms even though we chase them with a text etc.

Is anyone else finding this? Or what are we doing wrong?

We have a great clientele but are finding it hard to fit them all in as there are now so few of us.

Sadly if you do some searching on here some people have been trying to find staff for a few years with still no luck. It's a case of when people qualify they go straight to working for themselves as they don't want to work weekends etc and for normally minimum wage or just above. It's a big problem in the industry.
