Sponge for ombre nails

Hey guys. Ive seen a design for nails id like to try. Its ombre nails. I know how to do it but which sponge do you recommend works best for gel polish as well as nail lacquer?

I thought make up sponges or a bath sponge chopped into pieces?

Make up sponges are too flat in my opinion - if recommend a sponge with visible bubbles.
I actually used a washing up sponge with the scourer cut off at my additives class xx

I found the make up sponge soaked up all my varnish lol

Also have you considered using additives to create an ombré effect?! Much simpler procedure xx

Thats a good point. Is there any additives that you could recommend?

I'd go for the pigments as the effects won't be as stark on contrast in certain colours - haute pink and blue would be a good place to start. You could use other brands as well, I have the neons from magpie and they work in the same way good luck xx
