Spray Tanning Techniques

Hi there,
I was after a little bit of advice!
I am quite new to spray tanning. I have done the training and been practising on a few willing friends.
I was taught to spray horizontally across the body and only to spray vertically on the arm?
Is this the easy way to tan and get even coverage?

I was trained completely different to how i work now,ive just found my own technique over time,just have confidence,and it will come to you,
