I have had my hair bleached for around 5 years now. And today went to hair-dresser and had a bleach, toner, olaplex and fabuloso put on my hair. I am used to the itch on the scalp when bleach is applied and that doesn't bother me - but my bleach was on my head for more than an hour. and after it was washed off it felt very hot, sensitive and tight. Even now after coming home it is tight and uncomfortable. Does this mean my scalp has been burnt? Is this something my hairdresser could of avoided? And what can I do to ease the pain?

Thanks,
Daisy..

Sorry to hear that you're suffering from a sore scalp. Unfortunately, we can't diagnose your scalp over the Internet, you'd need to see a doctor or a pharmacist.

As soon as you felt uncomfortable, you should have asked for it to be removed. However, I don't expect bleach to cause severe scalp discomfort so I'd be asking your hairdresser to try a different product that's designed for sensitive scalps.

Milk can cool an irritated scalp plus some people find antihistamines helpful.

My salon sells this stuff called dual senses by goldwell called the scalp specialist soothing lotion, whenever I leave my hair colourist applies some on her finger tips and it eases the itching and tight feeling.

It sometimes is worse in drier months less so in summer, so I bought some and really works.
