I had blonde highlights/ my hair was quite light, see pic, I went to the salon for some darkness or lowlights.
The hairdresser said she will put a toner in to darken it a bit, but it went too dark. I asked her what she put on, she said 10vol with a colour number 5, she did this in a sink and left it in for 10 mins.
She said it will wash out the more I wash it

(I need to get back to the lightness I had before!)

Please see the images attached for before and after, will i get my lightness back, this is fading to purple/red?!

That doesn't make any sense at all, you need to go back and get her to correct it. You need the toner lifted and possibly more highlights put back through

I've just edited and attached images, please see above

I would go back to your stylist and get her to correct it

It sounds like when she lightened your hair she didn't tone it afterwards and the blonde was too much of a stark contrast rather than a subtle highlight.

Adding a 5 as a toner was never going to be the answer. I think you'd be better off finding a hairdresser who is good at balayage and can give you a soft sun kissed look that would suit your colouring better.

Hi
My hair has always been light ( have had blonde highlights for a few years, had them re-done last about a month ago)

She is not the one who did my blonde though

She just did the toner to darken it a bit, but it has gone so dark, she said i would still see the blonde but a) I don't see it and 2) with every wash it gets lighter but it's going red/plum where the blonde was
