hi i was out of salon yesterday and my receptin booked a man in for waxing. she had a price list but she said the man said it was too expensive and was very intimidating.

anyway he wants a full leg, hollywood and buttocks for 40.00. she has booked it now but im inclined to call and let him know that this is not the price.

my girls is training only been there for a week so not really blaming her as i know how customers can be.

would you call or leave it this once.?

he has rang before and i told him the price.

Cheek! You wouldn't go into a department store and start haggling the price! I wouldn't let him get away with intimidating behaviour and if he doesn't like your price he can haggle somewhere else, you don't want clients like that. He could tell all his mates and they will come in expecting the same.

Your are running a business not a charity!

I would call him and apologise, say your receptionist is new and she got confused with the pricing. Then if he starts trying to intimidate you, you can handle it better and say sorry that is the price in our salon, and suggest finding a cheaper one.

Dont be bullied into giving people huge discounts just because he raised his voice. Its your business, your product you decide how much your treatments will be.

If you discount it the first time how are you ever going to approach the subject on the actual cost of his treatment.

i did call back as soon as i got in but he didnt pick up.. as i was annoyed that he came in and haggled the price when i wernt there.

Then i wasnt sure if i should call...

but he knew the price before.. so i feel like im letting him get away with it ..lol

yeah thanks just wanted to make sure i wasnt be a b**ch lol..
il try and get through to him again and leave a message.

He cant get away with anything if you dont do the treatment at a discounted price. Just call again leave a polite voicemail if needs be and tell him that your receptionist is still training and wasnt aware of the correct costs. x

You cannot do it for £40. You need to charge in the region of £65 to £85. Most male clients are not intimidating, so hopefully this will be an unusual experience. I have only ever had one intimidating male client, a young well built guy who came for a back wax, totally invaded my personal space, but like I said, it's unusual. Male clients are normally utterly charming. You found a therapist to do intimate male waxing then?

If he doesn't agree to the price, I would recommend you say, 'no, sorry,' and lose him. I doubt if he will get it done elsewhere for £40. It is a very specialised treatment and might also take the best part of 2 hours, and you will have product cost.

For what it's worth, I strongly recommend you get lots of practice in before you do the intimate male training, as I read somewhere you only trained in waxing last month. Get as many bodies on the couch as possible, friends, neighbours, anyone with hair - WAX THEM!

Good luck

il probably wont do it now until nov/dec..
no-one in my faimly does waxing all shavors lol.. so had to practise on my poor stylist, myself and hubby before i started offering to my customers.... but only do customers legs, arms etc no facial waxing.

still wndering whether do male intimate waxing as in if id actually be able to do it.. its one thing thinking it but doing it is different.

but if not id still do the female training.

im pretty certain he wont get it done anywhere else.. not the full legs included in the price and buttocks for £40.00 zo zo.

£40 sounds very cheap for that amount of waxing at a salon in the London area. What a cheeky man for haggling the price down like that too!

anyway i called him he said he'd leave it as he got it somewhere cheaper.

we are talking hollywood, full leg and buttocks... here he said he got it for 35.00.

so i said thats really good i suggest you use them as we wil not be competiting to that price..
plus ive learned that 90% of the time they are lying when they x,y, and z does it cheaper.
