Hi great cocktails for wella toners but wondered why you included highlifts in the toners because in another of your threads you advised a geek to never use a highlift as a toner?

Thats true. Of course playing by the rule book with toners is a must, but these cocktails are exactly that, cocktails. Colours put together to make a diffrent tone rather than looking in the book for one. I dont advise anyone to use the 12 line with toners, but if you also look at my older posts, ive also said that you have to sometimes make your own rules to get the best results. Ive done many things in the past with colouring that I shouldnt of done, but ive got amazing results by just basically saying ''sod it'' :)

Niiice, thanks for sharing! Can't wait to try your "intense red" recipie!

Point taken, I suppose we all find our way and what works for us, it just gets confusing when there is so much conflicting info out there! What do you think of the high lift wella tints? And do you have a cocktail for a toffee colour? X

The rose pink what base colour would you need to be as im training at mo i know these would be on blonde but what base number , im just curious because my friend has bleached hair red crazy colour so if washed a lot its a faded pink any way so it would be fine to put that on wouldnt it or would you say it needs to be a base 9/10 hers about 8/9 but with pinky tone

I think the high lifts are great, sometimes they come out a bit too warm but overall there fab! I dont have a cocktail for that, but I will ask around :)

The rose pink is on a base 10 (pale yellow) but its a cocktail so whatever you want to do is fine :) just make sure the hair is light enough for it, to tone :D

Yeah just keep checking on the hair, the longer you leave it, the more vibrant it becomes, but this doesnt apply to all toners :)

Oooo sounds good im getting my friend to be my experiment for the day i think got to wait at least six weeks though because just done a red on her base 7 , so if i was to bleach wash hair to a base 10 but i think theyll still be pinky tones, so that will make it even more pink wont it :) x
