What do I ask a hair stylist to do to achieve this look?

I have a party coming up and my hair is long/thick enough to achieve this style but my sides kind of curl ( I am thinking cause my hair is super thick) I would like to go to a salon tomorrow and have this haircut here is a clip of the entire face thanks in advance.

You don't tell the stylist how to do a cut. You're much more likely to end up with something you don't want that way.
Have a consultation and explain what you're looking for (with pictures if you like) and how much time you want to spend styling your hair and let your stylist guide you to a cut that will work for you and your hair type.
