I am just starting out and looking for courses that will help me learn what I need to know without having to spend a fortune on further training.
That was a really informative article and I it is really good to learn from qualified nail technicians who have been there and done it already. I really hope to learn from what everybody says, this is such a great site and very addictive!! Thanks.x.x.x.x |

Endorsing your training recommendations
Hello Sassy
As the owner of the Cottage Training Centre, a private training college I thought your views on all options was very well balanced and endorse the fact that intensive courses are not for everyone. They do require hard work and yes you certainly ned to keep practising. A bit like learning to drive and then buying your first car. It takes time and effort to get it right. At my centre we offer acrylic systems only as a start so when confident you can then go on and add to your skills. |

I have just read info provided by Sassy Hassy, which I wished I had read last year. I took an intensive course in London which I must admit did give me the basics and introduced me to the various systems. The tutor however was very informative and the class was not that big, so i felt that I did get a good trainer. I am now trying to master the basics. I am thinking of getting a practise hand and going on a creative Course and I do agree that there are many suppliers popping up offering courses to take our hard earned cash. I have a friend that tried one and was not impressed with the lack of support she recieved. I have tried to remain neutral and have been practising with my supplies my college gave me, but I am encountering lifting etc. All these suppliers promising fantastic results is a bit mind blowing for a newie. Your info has lifted me a little ..... all good things come to those who wait and in this game patience is a virtue ... go with names that you have heard of. Has anyone heard of Acrygel ?
