I’m currently in the process of setting up my home salon and starting to think about chairs.
I’m a bigger girl and something I’ve always worried about is the risk of breaking/damaging anything. I know I’m not alone in this so I want to ensure I have chairs able to withstand a larger weight. I’m...
I’m thinking of having laser hair removal done however there are so many places doing it, I don’t really know what I’m looking for.
I just wondered if anyone could recommend anywhere specific (I’m in Kent) or tell me what I should be looking out for please?
I hope this is ok to post and in the right place.
I’m looking for training recommendations for some services I’d like to provide, as well as products best for the job!
I’m already trained in lash lifting however I’d like a refresher course/better product as I trained with Salon...
So, I've decided that after almost 4 years of being single, it's time for me to take the plunge and attempt to meet Mr Right! I have in the past tried Plenty of Fish which was really not my cup of tea and hence, I've been a bit put off for a few years.
I'm considering joining a paid site...
I hope this is ok to post.
I have a price list drafted but I'm not sure if I'm charging too much. I don't want to undersell myself but at the same time, I don't want to be too expensive. I'm mobile and in Kent. Would any pros be willing to take a look for me? x
Things like tax, services, MOT and insurance is stuff I pay anyway so perhaps I shouldn't have put those in there. However, if insurance is more expensive due to adding business as a use of the car, is this something that people just pay or is it worked into prices etc? The same goes for...
I'm trying to work out a price list etc but have suddenly thought about the annual costs associated with running a car (fuel, tax, insurance, services & MOT). How does everyone else work this into their prices? x
I think it depends on the situation, if she had just forgotten or couldn't be bothered then I wouldn't refund, perhaps offer another appointment for the same treatments? Make it clear that if it was to happen again, you would need to keep the deposit.
If it was a family emergency or something...
Thank you, that's really helpful. I think I might forget the kids parties as I was hoping to be able to do parties for little girls (around 5 years). I may think about a teen party package instead. Hen parties sounds like a good idea though! Thank you! x
I'm not sure if this is in the correct place but I'm thinking about adding Princess Pamper Parties to my treatments for children's birthday parties. I have spoken to Salon Gold who have said as long as I get parental consent, regular nail polish is fine to offer. EDIT: They have just informed me...
I thought I had a name but now I'm not so sure. I was going down the route of enhancing natural assets i.e. gel polish, lash lifts, tints etc rather than lash extensions etc. So I thought of Modest Beauty which I loved at first but now I'm not sure it's very good.
What does everyone think?
