I can’t see why you would need one?
I don’t have one in my home salon room and I’m looking at opening a high street salon and am not planning on having sinks in waxing rooms

Hey
Hey Naomie
Sorry I only just saw your reply!
How are you getting on with business planning?
ive just sent my first draft off to virgin for initial assessment so fingers crossed I’m not missing loads of information! because I had done what they call “test trading” Apparently I don’t need...
Hey Geeks!
im currently writing my business plan to submit to Virgin Start up for a loan to open a specialist waxing salon
part of the structure is to undertake detailed market research
Im struggling to find statistics on waxing treatments and how to work out my potential client base
does...
Same! I love that Ellebana gets great results and is quick but I think I need to insist the client uses a conditioning serum after.
Does anyone have any recommendation for serums to retail?
I have switched to the lashbase ultra slim pads because of this. They are great!
With thicker pads, I find making a few cuts to the bottom part of the pads helps them fan out and sit better
Hope this helps!
Hi Geeks!
Has anybody here written a successful business plan for a beauty salon?
I have just started and was wondering if anyone had any advice?
Just doing my market research ATM by asking locals to do a quick online survey, will this be enough?
Many thanks
Hannah
Has anybody used berodin wax? It looks amazing but all the videos you see on instagram of it are all leg or underarm waxes.
Does anyone know if it's any good for intimate waxing? Or very course hair?
I'm looking for a skincare brand for a small beauty business inside a hairdressers.
I would love to use a big brand like caci or dermalogica but I think the outlay is going to be too much to begin with.
Ideally I would like to offer microdermabrasion / micro current / galvanic facials and was...
I see their point. Salon services don't sell CND shellac so why would you need a trade card with them. If you only have the shellac qualification then you would be buying through sweet squared anyway as they are the uk distributor of CND products
Hope that helps xx
With clients that have very dense hair, I find it best to trim it quite short to avoid it all getting tangled, do smaller patches of wax and apply it slightly thicker. Hope you get your confidence back!
I found the same thing. I use lycon in the salon and love it, never had a problem with the temperature. However I have used Perron & waxperts hot wax on mobile clients but found clients were saying it was quite hot. I've since switched to lycon when doing mobile and everyone loves it just as...
Hi Geeks,
In the salon I have always used Jessica Geleration and get a lovely results doing white tips with their "wedding gown" white gel polish.
However I've just bought the CND Shellac lamp & kit from Sweet Squared to use at home. I'm really struggling with both studio white & creme puff as...
Anybody ever go away in October/ November. I'm looking to take my partner away for his birthday but we are both in need of a bit of sun, does anyone know where is still warm at this time of year?
Thanks
They are a nightmare! We get clients manage to book themselves in for treatments on wahanda at times the salon isn't even open! So now we have set it so we are visible on wahanda but clients must ring for an appoinment. More hassle than it's worth most of the time.
