I always thought you had to be qualified in hair and beauty and have insurance to work. But I keep hearing of people that done and I was wondering where they stand regards the law.

Does your salon offer them? Are they popular? What sort do you use?

I have worked in a salon where I provided my own stock and insurance and paid either £30 a day or £150 a week. I am renting chairs out now at £80 a week or 40% of their takings, they provide their own insurance and stock. look at what you do each week, at how much stock you use etc...

Yes I like it I get to get the colours etc that I like and feel I have the potential to earn good money

here we do a 60/40 split to the hairdresser and they provide their own products

I have used groupon and KGB for my salon, groupon sold far more and took 50% KGB sold a lot less and they take 35%
