    3D nail art....???

MOst of my clients (85%) have 3d nail art and they love it. I think that's what attracted them to my salon. :green: And no, they do not pick it off :)

Client prefers nails doing "wrong" - would you oblige?

I agree with Lucy. Sometimes you have to try to think from the customer's point of view. Maybe she really does like 'em that way. Maybe to save a bit of money, yes, I know, it's frustrating hun but not all people can afford paying for it every 2 weeks. I know I couldn't :( IMO, you should...

    disposal of Acetone!!!

Same here. I'm actually surprised that those guys don't come to you guys. Here where I live, if they show up (once a month) and you have no/little acetone, you're in trouble.:cry:

Reverse application. How many use this technique?

Yes, I used to have that problem too. As I mentioned, I'm a slow learner, so it took me an awfully long time to really "get" it. One thing I really like about it is that I don't get the "pink" on top of the white when I stroke out:eek:. Especially now with custom blending....I always have...

    painting on acrylic tips.

I agree with Lil Linz, there's always some odd ones that wanted things in a different way (everyone has different taste). So to be on the safe side, maybe you can ask them what they prefer. That happened to me when I was just out of college, the client told me to just paint the tip on. I was...

    To cut cuticles or not??

I NEVER cut the eponychium no matter what. Just remove the cuticle, and I find that using a curette is a big help. HTH:hug:

Reverse application. How many use this technique?

I was introduced to this technique 5 years back (before young nails "came" out with it.) I'm a very slow learner so it took me some time to get use to it, at first, I was very frustrated but after awhile, I LOVE it, my smile line is a lot crisper and I can do it quite a bit faster.

    first attempt stilleto

I know others mentioned it, but I just want to put in my input. I like the shape, something's new, not the same old same old boring shapes (and of course it's a lot harder to shape these than square). And like others I prefer the smile line a bit deeper to elongate the nails (have your nails...

Would you use MMA? Are you tempted?

You would never see me doing MMA nails. It's wrong and illegal, there's no excuse to it. If you balance the nail right, it is as strong as you need it to be. And MMA has nothing to do with speed. If I choose to be quiet and not blabbing away, I could do a full set scuptured p&w in 35...

Why soak off nails after every few sets?

I agree with ValencianNails if you have discoloration, you should change brand. It's not worth it. As for me, I always rebalance so when the customer leave my shop, the set looks as if it's brand new. Most of my clients never soak of their nails....of course except for a few odd ones. They...
