    Hair doesn't grab color

Hi geeks, I've always dyed my own hair(however, never finished my education as hairdresser due to too much mental stress at the time).. Anyhow! I'm in a bit of a pickle, I've just dyed my hair because I wanted a cooler root/mid length as it's gone warm golden-yellow-ish, but the color to...

    Majirel high lift help

Hi Lina - my natural base is a 7, I'd say, a dirty blonde with some coppery highlights - I honestly haven't seen my true color for years as I dye my roots a cool 6 or 7, with my lengths a very light silvery grey..

    Redken's Blonde Idol high lift

Hi geeks, I have my eyes on the new Redken Blonde idol high lifts in order to, perhaps, replace Wella Special Blondes - I generally only use high lift to freshen up a dull blonde with a 20 volume to avoid any brass.. Wella has worked beautifully, but I'm really curious about your experience...

    Olaplex replacement?

Hi lovely geeks, I just want to ask if you guys have any commendations on other serums, oils and the like that you can add to dyes etc? Or something similar to Olaplex? I know of the Australian brand Cureplex, but to have it shipped to Denmark would cost me an arm and a leg! I simply want...

    How to remove vivid colors?

Yea, I remember I've seen a hairdresser bleach the c*** out of one of his friends hair to remove a pink color, but it makes sense with removing it with ascorbic acid or a clear, since it only stains.. And her hair will definitely be more manageable! So thank you so much again - always good to be...

    How to remove vivid colors?

Ah, that makes sense! Thank you! I found some C-vitamin too, not the chewable ones! Thank you for your help!!

    How to remove vivid colors?

I know she hasn't tried to remove it herself! I live in Denmark and I can't find the Malibu DDL one, but I know there is the drugstore one called 'Color B4' - would that work? It's not a bleach, and I've tried it myself to remove build-up some years ago.. I've heard about the C-vitamin trick...

    How to remove vivid colors?

Hi lovely geeks, I have a client with this semi permanent hair color, I think she mentioned it was Directions from La Riche - but my question here is how on Earth do I remove that color(without frying her hair) and anybody who have experience with removal of Directionst? I thought about a mild...

    Hair loss

I've ordered a kit now, just a small one for starters to see how it does.. Maybe I should try their styling products as well, since I've only ever sworn to Redken's volumizing spray.. I went to hairdresser school, but only finished the first six months - never got around to apprenticeship as I...

    Hair loss

Hi Katy, It's actually called 'male pattern baldness', so it's not necessarily due to an increase in any male hormones - it's unfortunately 'just' because of a prolonged period with seborrheic dermatitis due to mental stress I'm trying that Amitamin and I've figured out the Nioxin system that I...

    Hair loss

Hi Oscar, I have a overall healthy diet - I use low GI principles :-) so it's not my diet, it was caused by extreme stress and due to a compromised immune system, I developed sebborheic dermatitis which causes dry scalp and dandruff as well as hair loss :-/ But I've just hit my 3 month mark on...

How to reach proper grey hair

Hi guys, I have a client that wants to go a medium silver grey and silver white balayage - but I have no experience wth that kind of colors - what can you recommend? She showed me these pics.. She's already sort of balayage with a lvl 7 at the roots(slightly golden) and then silver white...

    Hair loss

I've googled a bit around, and I think I'll try something called Amitamin, as this is similar to Priorin, but also contains other vitamins - so it's basically works as a daily supplement as well :) When my seborrheic dermatitis was really bad, my dermatologist told me to use 2-3 different...

    Hair loss

I've talked to other hairdressers and their experience with clients - and they recommended something called 'Priorin', I haven't tried it yet, but I'm thinking to try Biotin(vitamin B6) and maybe the Priorin as well - at this point I'm desperate for a permanent solution! The thing is, I'm not...

    Hair loss

Hi Amy, It's actually on on top of my head and not in patches - my dermatologist called it 'male baldness'(such charming thing to have >_<) because of the pattern of loss - the thing is, it's not hereditary, I've lost it due to extreme stress and my body unfortunately thought to express that...

    Hair loss

Hi guys, I've suffered from hairloss(only the top of my head), due to a really stressing few years of my life and my dermatologist said I should start use Regaine for Men(as it's the stronger one, compared to the one for women).. I've used it for a bit more than 1-1 1/2 years now(it works...

    Majirel high lift help

Don't know if it's too late to share, but I've just applied 50/50 of Loreal high lift in ash and neutral with 12% - as Loreals instructions recommends 12% for pure color results and so far my hair hasn't turned blue I put it on my lengths which are a 10 or 11 with slight golden highlights!

Dealing with anxiety in your salon

I still think you should go to a psychologist - especially if it's something you've suffered from most of your life! It's a serious issue and it needs to be treated as such - mostly because anxiety leaves your body in an almost constant state of distress, which in the long run is not healthy at...
