After you have finished with Shaping your sculpted nail I would apply a thin coat of clear gel as it helps the colour and or french to adhere to the nail better so basically just remember that when you have finished your sculpt start your overlay as if from scratch.

I couldn't agree more with Gigi (dont faint Gigi ha ha) I would never ever white tip hands like these (no disrespect to your auntie). Stick to the natural tip and varnish or use coloured gel or l&p. Bring the sides in so they dont look so hippy and you will be amazed at your work. Nice try...

Was this on the thumbs or fingers and thumbs? Usually the gel will appear cracked if the UV light does not reach the gel to cure. Either client is not placing her fingers/thumbs correctly under the lamp or your bulbs need replacing. Hope this helps

Make sure you do a full client consultation aswell. In my experience, if you dont get lifting on other clients, there is always some explanation for the lifting ie; medication, lifestyle etc, even a recent change in hormones, hrt and the like. Let us know how you get on
