    I need help please

I've stated one you could try in my previous message, but as I've said, I think you'll struggle to get the look you want from just using a tint, as your hair must naturally pull a lot of warmth

    I need help please

You may struggle to get that with tint if your hair naturally pulls a lot of warmth. A better idea would probably have been to get highlights through your hair. If you are dead set on using tint, the only thing I could suggest, is to use Wella Illumina range, rather than Koleston Perfect as it...

    I need help please

Hi, If you are a natural level 7, your underlying pigment is orange and lifting to an 8 is orange/yellow. The colours you are using are not strong enough in tone. 0 is natural and 01 is natural ash, however the 1 ash tone in Wella is blue/green. To counter orange/yellow you need blue/violet. So...

I’m around a Level 4 with roots trying to get a level 10.

Hi, If you are getting orangey tones then it's not lifted enough. If you want a level 10 with ashy tones, you would need to be lifted to the palest yellow, then tone with ash/violet. If your hair is difficult to lift, it may need lifted twice, but if you are not a professional this would...

    Hairdryer

Hi, agree with Ronray on Parlux, they are very good dryers. I'm using an Elchim one at the moment, which is also pretty good. If you are looking a light one, I think Parlux do a compact one

    Light Beige Blonde

Ron, I would use 30 vol in the darker areas, but where its totally white, would you take it down to 20 vol?

    Light Beige Blonde

Hello all, Can anyone recommend a nice light beige blonde shade? Not tied to any brand in particular. Client is mostly white on top and around 70% white in darkest areas

    Wella kolleston 5/7

Hi, As Ron says ratio is 1:1 How much of each you need to use depends on how long your hair is. If it's long you'll maybe need the full tube - 60ml plus 60ml of 10 vol. You can always make up less and see how you get on, then make up more if you need it 🙂

Bleach brands - help a student choose!

Hello, Agree with Ronray, I find the cheaper ones don't always give even and predictable results. Schwarzkopf Blondme is my go to

Redken Shades EQ - How long do they last once opened

Hello all, I've used these a few times and they seem to say 18 months on the bottles, however I've noticed a colour change once opened, from relatively clear to quite dark. Has anyone had any experience of this and are they still OK to use?

    Matrix Socolor

Hello all, Has anyone experienced banding with this range? I have a client that I've been using half 10N and half 9N and I can see banding. I've seen this happen with double pigmented shades in other colour lines before, but never with standard shades. Anyone else seen this? Thanks

    Best /longest lasting toner

If I tried the Shades EQ again, should I go for maybe 9P mixed with 9N, or 9V or even 9NA.....very confusing 😕 There is a pic attached further up of how it looks at the moment

Could you recommend a CT formula for this to cool it down and blend the blonde in a bit better??

    Best /longest lasting toner

Thanks Ron, I did use Shades processing solution. The hair wasn't completely dry, but I'd seen most tutorials they seemed to be applying it at the washbowl. I did use a mix of 9VG and 9N and didn't add any clear to the mix. I'm thinking maybe it's not strong enough. I previously used Wella...

    Best /longest lasting toner

Hello all, I'm looking for some advice on toning hair thats been pre-lightened to level 9 / 10. I used Redken shades EQ to tone last week, but it seems to have washed out already. I use Olaplex no1 during lightening and no2 afterward, so the hair is in pretty good condition. The client would...

    Toning help

I just get a bit worried as I'm not the quickest with foiling and was just thinking if some of the hair comes up a bit lighter if the toner will blend it in
